Tale
Elias develops feelings for his new neighbor Alexander. He soon realizes that he is falling in love for the first time. First, I have to commend the incredible acting by Lou Goossens (Elias) and Marius Desaeger (Alexander). They definitely had the chance to break my heart while watching. Thankfully, they spared me. Tears fell, though. Another aspect that I appreciated was the length of the film. It struck the perfect balance – not too long to drag, but long enough to allow for rich character development and a satisfying conclusion. The pacing felt natural, with each scene contributing something meaningful to the overall (love) story. The beautifully crafted cinematography definitely added a great layer to this 10/10 film. I am writing this right after watching it for the first time, but it certainly won’t be the last time I watch this masterpiece by Anthony Schatteman. Young Hearts now holds a very special place in my heart.
